During the past few days a very small mouse has been making his presence known in more and more blatant ways. Last night, he poked his/her head around a bowl sitting on a sideboard, not six feet from my desk. It was as if he/she wanted to see if I was going to be friendly. The mouse just sat there and we looked directly at one and other.

 My Buddhist friends will be pleased to know I cannot imagine killing it.

I wonder if my landlord, who lives in the same building will see it the same way?
