Inspired Teaching
It is our intention to end the myth that we do not know what inspired teaching is and how to achieve it. For the past twenty years we have listened to those who suggest that the accumulation of facts and information are what is critical. It is our experience that in order to create inspired learners, we must encourage, grow and nurture inspired teachers.

Maine State Prison
In December 2004 we shared our experience of the first “What One Person Can Do” (WOPCD) program delivered as part of the New Horizons Academy program in the Maine State Prison’s Bolduc Center, specifically the power it had for me and the high level of participant involvement. Following the last program session of WOPCD held at the prison, I asked one of the participants to tell me why he thought the New Horizons Academy had had an impact on him when he said other things in his life had been ineffective.

The Starfish Fund
The Starfish Fund (TSF) intends to create a source of “leg-up” funds for people looking to claim or reclaim their lives. Recipients of funding are expected to contribute back to the fund over their lifetimes so that ultimately there will be an ever expanding source of funds.

What One Person Can Do
“What one Person Can Do” is an experientially based exploration of the power that resides within all people, and honors the unique life experiences of each participant. Over a twelve week period, through practical, personal assignments and reflections, participants discover that the loving-kindness of Mother Theresa and the indomitable will of a Nelson Mandela reside within all people, the only issue is access. This program is grounded in loving-kindness and personal responsibility.
