Perhaps the reason we struggle so much with the idea that we live in a “miracle” is due to the fact that seeing and experiencing it would bring euphoria.
Is it possible we are so attached to our distractions because acknowledging the truth would bring an end to the significance of our personal story?
Perspective
There are between 10 and 50 trillion cells in the human body.
(That, by the way, is the closest scientific estimate available.)
The circumference of the earth is 24,000 miles.
To get a sense of what 10 to 50 trillion really is, imagine each cell represents a single mile.
It would take 416,000 trips around the earth to reach 10 trillion miles.
It would take 2,083,333 trips around the earth to reach 50 trillion miles.
By glory, perhaps we do live in a miracle.
In the time it takes you to read this “mindful moment,” the universe has expanded somewhere between 2 million and 40 million miles. That is the closest estimate available.
Can you explain how that is possible or into what the universe is expanding?
Could it simply be beyond our current comprehension or a miracle?
