Human Innovation – Bionic Parts

This week, I will be having an operation that will install my third bionic part (two knees done over the holidays last year, now a new right hip).

How is it possible not to see the miraculous nature of the human mind?

It’s Time for a Change

As I often do on Sunday morning, following self-care, I will turn on the CBS program, Sunday Morning, which is a slice of life, delve into something for the sake of it, relatively positive program. They were profiling a small town in North Carolina where New Year’s Eve is celebrated by lowering a possum. In the hundreds of people displayed, I could see not one person of any color.

I wonder how that comes to be?

I wonder if it is the same way Lawrence Welk seemed to have such a homogeneous group of talented people?

I also wonder if I am becoming a bit cynical?

Good Tools and Intention

During the holidays, there was a “blizzard” which deposited varying amounts of snow from a few inches to a few feet along the eastern coastline of the United States. We got about a foot here in Litchfield and by the next day the roads were clear and people were about their business.  Isn’t it interesting what we can accomplish with the proper equipment and the necessary will.

I wonder what else might be impacted by a similar alignment of tools and intention?
