Interconnectedness

Put human beings in inhuman conditions for long enough and many of us will do anything to survive.

What kind of influence do you want in your life or the lives of your children?

Depth

There are people I do not see or speak to for days (and months in some cases) and yet it is as if it were yesterday when we speak.

I wonder why I sometimes feel that there is only so much loving-kindness to go around?

Aromatic Perspective

Riding on the bus with a student, the familiar intense odor of Spring-spread manure came in the window. I smiled and thanked God aloud for my sense of smell. I breathed deeper and became more joyful and called it “perfume”. Our eyes were joined in joy, as I breathed deeply and thankfully (just as I do with lilacs). Two days before, that same experience had been most unpleasant to me.

May I remember to bring my joy to each moment and spread it generously!

Thank you, Pat!
