Living
If we are really living, there is no fear of death.
There is only making the best possible use of this moment.
There is no regret, simply the honoring of great experience.
Feeling honored?

Who Has the Power?
It will be my honor to attend the Change of Command Ceremonies for the 158th Fighter Wing of the Vermont Air National Guard, which involves two people I love and have come to know well over the past two years.
Every time I attend a military ceremony, I feel so deeply a profound debt of gratitude for every person who serves or has ever served their country and made possible every breath of my existence.
It has nothing to do with political decisions of any kind.
It has to do with contribution of one life to make possible the pure possibility of life for another.

Who Has the Power?
Today is Father’s Day and it makes me aware of other days like Mother’s Day that celebrate some of the most important ways of being in the world. It also reminds me of the parents who have done it all, of those who have chosen their children, of those who parent us all.
I wonder if we could come to a place where we knew that the nurturing and celebration of this loving-kindness is the most important thing in the world?
