Aromatic Perspective


Riding on the bus with a student, the familiar intense odor of Spring-spread manure came in the window. I smiled and thanked God aloud for my sense of smell. I breathed deeper and became more joyful and called it “perfume”. Our eyes were joined in joy, as I breathed deeply and thankfully (just as I do with lilacs). Two days before, that same experience had been most unpleasant to me.



May I remember to bring my joy to each moment and spread it generously!

I have begun to capitalize Mom and Dad, Mother and Father, when speaking about a specific known individual because I believe these people should be honored and that these jobs are so critically important in terms of imparting unconditional love and the power to choose.
