Sitting in one place for many hours watching people creates the opportunity for the imagination to run wild.
I wonder how I would look or be if I had lived their lives?
My daughter became a licensed veterinarian in June of 2007. She called me upset last weekend as she euthanized nine animals all of whom were unknown to her. The owners said, “We are so glad that you are with us and loved our pet.”
I wonder if she feels comfort knowing that her acts of loving kindness and compassion eased the pain and suffering of both the animal and its family?

It is the week before Thanksgiving in the United States. It is also two weeks after the day my Mom was born and today is my Dad’s birthday. At this time of year, I am more mindful of my gratitude. I want to remind myself to be grateful for the following not just now but every day:
- The air that I breathe in that first breath of the day.
- The sheets and blankets that keep me warm.
- The beautiful bed a craftsman made for me many years ago. Continue Reading →
