Under God

In the early fifties, the words, “under God,” were added to the Pledge of Allegiance. It is my understanding that they are now considering removing them. We no longer allow any religious celebrations in school, so as to keep church and state separate.

Loving-Kindness

Today I read the annual report of a company that provides 150M dollars of programs to children who are abused or neglected. The words love or loving-kindness were never mentioned.
